In 1770, a chess machine beat emperors across Europe. It had a man folded inside. Two and a half centuries later, a company called Builder.ai promised software as easy as ordering a pizza. Microsoft invested. Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund bought in. Then the cabinet opened.
